i usually order in bulk. most of the time i get it right and buy in custom parts that sell easily.
although i have made the odd cock up.
which means i can only sell to yoda
debating about getting a few sets of these barend indicators in.
what do people think of them.
honest opinion.
price will be in the region of £50.00 pair.
come in chrome or black. fit both 22 and 25mm bars and inserts to suit ali bars

make filtering a pig.............. :D :D
I might be wrong, but i get the impression overseas that these eliminate the need for rear mounted indicators.
It'd be worth finding if thats the case here as well, and using it as a selling point.
Look alright, aint had dinkers on a bike for 20 years so aint gonna start now tho.

make filtering a pig
make filtering a pig what???
and to what end would you want to filter a pig anyway.
you know i've come to realise that being welsh means i have no idea of the strange practices that go on down the south east of england  :)

HMMm onest opinion
****e in my opinion, I hate them, but as with many others on here I dont run them anyway, and couldnt on my bikes as internal throttle make that a bit hard
oh and dont expect that they sell them for 1 1/2" bars LOL
as Taff said, if they eradicate the need for rear ones then that would help sell/market them, but still damned expensive and not particularly attractive to me

maybe if they dont sell you could try selling them as easy to find in the dark butt plugs!!

as stated in my first post i can always sell them to yoda :)
expensive? yes i agree and i've argued the trade price down from the original cost
ugly?
not my thing either which i why i asked on here.
ok scratch the supositry style indicators :)
Y'know what, this has gid me a brainwave.
The ideas there, but dinkers are a functional thing, trying to make a feature of em aint never gonna work, they'll always look wank.
What would work, is small hemispherical dinkers in the end of the bar, like that, but just the same diameter as the bit wot pops out the end of yer foam'n'chrome grips, sprayed black with rear light tint, which lets the orange show thru.
So they aint even there till you set em dinking, then they dink, and then fuck off back into obscurity.
Like strip some of these little fuckers down for the lens, and cobble em into a grip end.

As far as I know for the MOT the winkers only have to visible from front and rear to pass, and not to close together (dont know what too close in measurement is)
Also two mates have just bar end winkers fitted and have passed MOT so could be a selling point.
Taff thats a cracking idea, do it!!!
Wish i'd of thunk on it when me apes was on, they was wide anyway and i stuck +4" in the middle of em just to show off so i wudda been The Incredible Indicating Man.
I'll haf to check out me new bars and seef it's a viable idea on them.
i always wonder how effective optic fibres would be as lights as you could pretty much stick em anywhere (i know they need a source light but distance away from the end doesn't matter) i did think of it on my trike but i never found anyone that was quite sure (having said that my brother works for a company that does lighting for shows and events and he has aquired a roll of optic fibres not sure what they are like but i am going to pop down and pinch some

Fibre optics need a lens on the end if you want a general light source like an indicator, otherwise you just end up with a tiny spot. RS Components(amongst others) do them
Dont worry about fibre optics, leds are the thing to use, high visibilty with low power, I have a mate working on some led stuff for a special we are thinking of building (my other FJ), will have a word to check his thoughts.

You get any spare fairly think fibre optic cable, I would not mind some, if you 'nick' it with a knife you can get some interesting effects along the lenght of it. Got a few ideas for me special.

DEAR MR T BLAIR
i feel it is my duty as a loyal welsh person to inform you that there are two hi-jackers here on my thread.
a brummie and a southerner, obviously a bad combination.
the brummie one comes over as very plausable
with his cheeky smile (suspect it;s wind)
in a wheelchair (please let me get to the front for the strip show as i must stop it as it's degrading to women)
i've heard him speaking hindu
and he always carries a rucksack.
proof enough i would say :D :D
go on then tell us about the southerner :D
taff, I notice alot of the boy racer cars are using discreet dark tinted indicators bacause light housings almost always look sh1te on cars.
I saw a nice custom R1 tail piece with an LED array it all looked red until you fired up the indicators and a directional orange LED arrow appeared, it looked good. no good for customs but cracking on fighters or (dare I say it ) Rats

Been doing it ten years.
And the 1.0ltr novas soon stop edging forward when The Thugmobile looms up at the side on 'em...

that reminds me of a mates car. he mat blacked it with a paint roller, added tinted windows, spot lights and was just about to add metal plate to the bonnet ( as we all danced on it anyway seemed a good idea to have a dance fllor) then blew it up.
