To be pedantic, you used to be able to register a foreign combo with the chair on the 'wrong' side as a trike, but you can't any longer.
I imagine there are some gentlemen in the legal department of a certain very large Michigan company who might be very interested in the name of that firm...

I've seen that one in the flesh on the FED stand at the BMF. It is pretty tidy.
The bit about only needing a car licence is total bollocks though, and of course you need a helmet as a sidecar is only an accessory fitted to a motorcycle. In some European countries you need to wear a lid in the chair also, and trailers are not permitted. The BMF site has all the details.

Strangely enough, the ebay ad has now been amended leaving out that bit... :D

What do you mean "trailers are not permitted" any bike, trike or combination can legally tow a trailer. :)
I politely asked a question to the seller as to whether it was indeed right that it could be registered as a trike as there was no drive to the third wheel. This is the nice reply  I've just got.
register in isle of skye first.daehkcid
Oh dear. Always best to know who you're dealing with, isn't it? :D

:D Tusty??? What's that? (And why do I feel I shouldn't have asked...)
Not the sort of language I usually use, which might indicate how vexed how I am.

And since when did a 1200 conversion "double" the horsepower?
Half as much again maybe but not double (unless you do some serious additional work)

I just sent a question to the seller
Are you deliberately missleading buyers or just totally ignorant about what you are selling?
Do let us know what the answer is...
As a coda to this, they are now denying that they sent me that message - although it was in reply to the item number, from their user name and in my eBay messages box... Apparently it couldn't have been them as they're not back from a show yet (obviously a helluva way from Wimbotsham to Cambridge...). Strange how the wording of the ad was also changed while 'they were away'.
