Red Wine

I've had a pretty shyte week all in all......... :(
Came to a head on Thursday when I came home from the shop at 1pm, found a bottle of Don Darius wine in the corner of the front room, so opened it............and away I went.
Have never been a red wine drinker, coz it plays havoc with me migraines, but I have fallen in love with this stuff.
Wobbled round to Griffs at 7pm, totally wrecked.
Two bottles later, and I was wasted! Spent the night on Griffs sofa, and woke Friday with a hangover from hell, and had to sit in the shop smiling falsely at the punters. Hardest days work I have done in years!


Then last night we had mates round for cheese (wickedly strong skunk!) and wine. So off to ASDA I go, grab three more bottles and me and me mate sunk two of them!
Yep, wasted again, and are we hungover this mornng? You bet your arse we are! Only just crawled out of the pit, and I feel like shyte!

I decided to be cultured one night at the clubhouse, and take red wine.
Quite fancied meself sat at the bar, quaffing glasses of vino, chugging at a cuban ceegar.
Didn't quite work like that, took 3 bottles of Bulls Blood, drank the lot, from the bottle, and staggered about as if i'd lost me park bench, threw up pink froth, then fell asleep on way home stood up with me head against a road sign trying to have a slash.
I drink beer now.

Not saying that people didn't get hangovers, just that they were from good old dehydration & not chemical crap.

I spent 5 weeks at an organic vineyard last year and towards the end the guy who owned it commented that the two of us had been consuming about 2 litres per day each on average for the entire time we were there. Now, since we were away for most of the mid week periods, that meant our daily consumption when there was much higher. No hangovers.... or perhaps we never got sober enough to have one.

What I liked was how us blokes had to go out to the cave most evenings to check on the wine. I particularily liked barrel 3. Mind you, I could never remember tasting barrel 5.

Was in spain last year with a mate, a seasoned red wine drinker, and his missus. They now go for 'Tinto de Verano', or something like that. Red wine topped up with lemonade, ice and a slice. You dont get hangovers but it still gets you incredibly pissed. :D

'kin el bulls blood..... what were you thinking man? Get yerselfsoem wolfblass or a kumala reserve, failing that a penfolds bin 21 or 35 ....good full bodied get yer proper fucked in a posh way wines :D


Fancy a really poncy quaffing wine get a white zinfandel or a pinot grigio blush....bloody lovely with a curry .


easy whites, any sauvingnon, any chardonnay but for a real treat get a calfornian turning leaf
