they are all very nice, I must admit to buying mine as I didn't have the inclination to build, what with all the hassle of sva etc and it only worked out a grand cheaper if I had bought brand new. Boom trikes are not cheap and at around £20,000 for a new one put it out of my price bracket. Between Boom and Rewacco I thought Boom although more expensive far superior in engineering quality

Last time I spoke to Pointy Hat, he was waiting for radiator cores to come in ... and for me to get off me arse and find some of the other bits too. I just haven't had the time to get down to see him for months, but I'm hoping to this week.

I'm new here and just been having a look at some of the stuff other folks are building. I love the look of this one.

I am about to start on the first project I have done for a few years. Just found a 2.8ltr fuel injected V6 engine and 5 speed box, plus a Sierra axle. Might change the box for an auto.

Anybody know where I can get a big set of long tele's. Don't need the yolks just the forks. Any help would be much appreciated.

Regards

Chopper.

Hey Chopper , the front on my trike in the picture are Gpz900 bottoms (38mm) with the chrome inners from a KLR 600 to make them longer . Something that worked well and didnt cost a fortune to sort out , even keeps the gpz seals . :D

Hiya Mikes

Keep me informed about those forks. Could be just what I am looking for. Good to see you here. You meet the nicest people on a Honda! (Now where have I heard that before???)

Thanks for tip Ridler. I did something similar with my FJ1200 chop, using Yam forks of a a TDR (I think).

Still looking folks. Thanks for your help.

Is this some sort of wind up?

I have a Ford V6 injection engine with 4X4 box sat in my workshop just waiting for me to finish the jig to make the frame. I am also looking for an auto box!!!

bodger, if this is not a wind up, PM me your contact number, I may be able to help you.

I love the look of what you are doing with your trike. Similar sort of thing to what I want to do with my Ford V6. I want to do mine absolutely minimal. If I don't need it to make the trike go or stop then it ain't going to be fitted.

Is your trike hardtail? Where did you get your wheels and what sizes are they?

I hope to start work making a jig to do my frame, this week. Got all the steel sat in the floor in the workshop. The jig will be adjustable so that I can do other frames with it. Might have to do the trike for my better half before I get to mine though. Plan is to have both on the road by the spring. I think a few very late nights in the workshop are on the cards.

Good luck with your trike Ridler, really like what you are doing. Please keep posting pics.

Regards

Chopper.

Hey chopper , thanks . I got the wheels from ebay , they are 15" by 14" wide , but tyres are 17" wide when fitted . They are drag car wheels with street rod tyres .

good luck with you project/s , get some pics on when its stared , grest to see more building going on .

Black , grey , satin and minimal shiny bits is the look i think works on all vehicles . Seems to get peeps looking all the same .

I love many of your custom built trikes :D
Sadly the autorities in Norway don't like home built trikes.
Instead of endless discussions with the autorities moust of us choose the easy way.
That means riding 8 to 10 year old Rewaco and Boom trikes.
Here's my Rewaco from -98.

One of the most fun trike I've owned, built in Devon. It had massive understeer which scared the pants off passengers as you spun the (steering) wheel round and the machine just went on in a straight line for a second then snapped into oversteer, ok once you got the hang of it but very odd. It still had the wobbly 2CV suspension too.
It looked wierd too which suited me. :D
