Have been having a wee look into trikes and kitcars, seeing as how my bike riding has come to an end.

Quite a lot of the kitcars have a rollbar but never seen one on a trike yet.

Is this because you tend to go flying onwards when the trike stops, thus not needing such protection?

This is a genuine question and not a wind up, by the way.

personal choice, nowt say ya cant have 1, but if ya ride hard enough to roll it, then thats ya own lookout, plus cant really see it being of much use, as it wouldnt protect ya much if not wearing a seat belt

Maybe same reason bikes don't have seatbelts? In the event you DO get thrown from a trike, I would bet it is safer to fly than be restrained, just a thought

Some do, there were some very cool Reliants at the R&S with 'em.

Why do Trikes not have Roll Bars?

Is it because it might make them look like a kitcar with a wheel missing

I've only ever ONCE rolled mine and that was side-ways... Doing a very quick sharp right "U" turn.. :o If I was un-lucky enough to get thrown of front end ways.... I just hope I bounce a bit... better than I did when I came off mi solo... Happen if I was to land on mi head, I won't damage as much as last time :D :D
