hi to all
i have recencty purchased two suspension units of a reliant they are quite a large spring single unit nothing fancy ,just a spring and a damper rod,question i was intending putting them on the back of my trike each side of the rear axle about 8 inches in from the rear wheels but i have been told that they are far too strong and will not be of any help to the back of my trike can anyone advise as soon as possible .ps would it be worth me shortening the spring would this help.

Dunno if they'd be any good or not, but I do know that if you shorten a coil spring it gets stiffer.

I also know that if its possible to remove the spring and they are the normal sizes then new springs are about £20 each and available in a vast range of rates.

Check out Merlin Motorsport, they do coil overs and springs.

If you alter the angle of the shock you alter the performance, they work best harder vertical and worst softest horizontal.........so if you make brackets to alter angle you can play about.

But I was told with relant shocks, not to bother they were crap, but see this months trike tech and make up ya own mind.
