Hi ppl iam wanting to take my slip on handle bars which sit on my forks on my gpz 550 and put Renthals on. Can i drill 2 holes in my yokes to mount some risers for the bars or will that weaken the top yoke?
Cheers Andy

it could do depending on the design of the top yoke. sometimes the webs underneath the yoke do not make it practical. if your slip on fitted the forks above the yoke you can buy clamp on risers. which have a rise of 30mm and allow the use of 7/8" bars.
raask make some inexpensive ones in different diameters to suit most fork tubes

On the z/gt/gpz750 the spectre yokes are a straight swop and take normal bars.Perhaps the ltd ones will to,not tried that though.
S'pose the 550 would be same deal.

Spectre - or even 550 LTD, or z550 will do!
