What year is it?.
17mm is the right height for most of the Gpz900's
Errrmm , good question , engine year un-known . i set them at 18mm but fuel leaked out everywhere , gone back to 13mm now and seems better , may go abit more , something like 15-16mm , see how that goes .
Is there anyway that i can find out the year of the engine from the engine number ??

stock height is 17mm, i just got a set for my chop, as original 1s all had split diaphragms, but float height doesnt just stop fuel pissing out on them cvk carbs, it also regulates how rich/lean the engine runs at certain throttle positions

Thanks kiffer , the problem i had was the far right cylinder would be cut of fuel after running for a short while but if left to sit for 20 minutes or so would be ok again as if it was waiting to fill up the carb with fuel again (happened on my GP100 CHOP when i was younger so i guessed float height to be first port of call ). gonna have another tinker around with them today . Thanks for the info :D

the 1s ive got are fitted to a gpz1100 chop, trying to get the fueling setup right is a nightmare, runs rich on idle then goes week on 1/4 throttle and rich again on full, and every now and again number 2 carb dumps petrol all over the floor for no reason  think its a matter of trial and error to them right

yep seems to be , tried a few set ups today , either way is wrong for one reason or another , why does it always seem that it coughs and splutters at just the point in the rev range that you can cruise along nicely at .
keep trying i guess , gotta get there in the end ay

exactly the same as mine, open throttle great, try cruising, or coming just above idle and, cough splutter
