CDIs are different. Worth getting the proper loom as they can still be found at reasonable prices. What's wrong with the 1052?

i used its full potential lol. brum to hastings quite quickly.
but ive been offered an 1127 engine cheep but no electrics. and im a bit skint again as im trying to get a front end for the slingshot aswell.
the good news is i wont have to travel 175 miles each week to work as ive just landed a job in tonbridge
cheers for the info on cdi. i thought it might need swapping as well. oh well :(

Coolers and carbs are different too mate remember.
If you're looking at a new motor and front end, you're probably better off buying a complete bike. A tidy enough M went on OSS for £1000 the other week - they are out there! :) I picked up a smart enough standard slabby just after Farmyard which is now on the road for under £750 so it can be done.

yeah i know. unfortunatly due to traveling back and forth to sussex etc plus the almost mint slingshot i bought with nackered forks (found out too late) im now a bit skint. however i do keep getting offers on certain things but just a case of checking if they will fit.
i think once im down south and settled i can do it all properly. found a few items on ebay which were ok but never got replies to questions and have been on ebay a few times now with " for sale else where". never mind things will work out in the end

re coolers and carbs.
oh i got all that sorted in the end. got bike running super with 40 mm carbs. but the tank resting on them. put old ones back on for now. im gonna modify the tank to take them next year (another summer rebuild). as for the cooler. well spoke to a few companies who visit our site. the have never seen fittings like it. reckon it was a reject or something. got that sorted of a guy who visits our too. i just hate buying things from miles away. oh well i wont bore you with details lol. but things are on the up. :D
