On me little chop I run side mount plate, with a vincent replica "stop" light. As it's mounted on the swingarm, it's constantly blowing bulbs (and it's always the rear light and not the brake!). Does anyone know if you can get LED replacements for these 12v 10w bulbs (err little 3cm things), not looking for combo brake\rear as I run one of each and it won't fit!

:) ta... Pete

HI pete dunno if this helps but on my trike I got the mini cats eye lights as in the ones that normally come 2 on a numberplate bracket, these also had them poxy lil bulbs, what i done was to order the smaller led bulbs from ebay, but they were about 10mm too long to fit inside the light casing, so by taking the light holder part out from inside the casing I found the bulb holder was only a press fit into the whole thing and could be puched back enough so the led bulbs clear the lenses, and as led's run with very little heat, roberts your mothers brother.

yeah, I was kinda resigned to having to do that (don't mind soldering an' all that), would be nice if someone made them, or have I discovered huge gap in market and can make my fortune on little led lights?

NO need for soldering mate, I just tapped mine back through just enough to get clearence, about 10mm that all.

And the rear running light on my 2001 BMW takes a 10W 12V regular bulb, only the electronics didn't like the low wattage of the little LED replacements I bought from ebay.... That was bright as you liked, and worked fine if you didn't mind the warning lights on the dash lighting up like a christmas tree.

Only way to fix that would be to fit a load resistor... that defeating the battery-saving idea of fitting them in the first place! Happily not a problem on a "Simple is Beautiful" chop.
