I'm in the process of building a triked V45(vf750) which will be based around a two wheel rear swingarm. Seems the simplest way to try out the MSVA rules to me.

Looking back at Triketek around Iss.55 there is an ideal project bike with a real tidy s-arm based on the original bike arm with new bent up tubes to hold the reliant axl.

How is the axl held to the new swingarm? Cant make it out from the pics? Presumably it isnt welded because you wouldnt split the axl again? Can anyone remember? Can you just U bolt it up like the reliant?

Also the swingarm on the V45 'floats' left to right, 'sposedly so you can get the arm onto the engine. Does this mean i should ONLY take measurements of how much to chop out the axl when the whole bike is assembled? Might sound like a stupid Q but Im concerned that the centre of the swingarm isnt necessarily perfectly in line with the centre of the front wheel...?

If that makes sense to anyone please let me know!!
