In theory, if they are on top of the mudguards and visible to front and rear then I would say Ok.

But would have to check the permissable dimensions to be certain

with a seperate circuit you could run into probs with the regulation that all lights fitted have to work.... If they look like indicators then they'd have to work with them.
It's much easier to wire a hazard circuit. Check 100% Biker Trike Tek issue 54

Aha,

Think I read DH's post wrong.

What you do is use the existing indicators,
but,
wire in an additional switch that will operate all four (2 front, 2 back) even when the ignition is turned off.

What I do is fit a keyed battery isolator switch so the circuits are live when the ignition is off, but once isolated nothing works - stops the fiddlers from flattening your battery.

Not true.

They are a retrospective fitting according to the MOT manual as of mid 2004.

I have been told that the new reg's do not apply to my twenty five year old bike/trike.
I have to have it Mot'd on Thursday, I 've been to see the guy twice, an' twice he said the new reg's don't apply?

I thought I would have ago at fitting them, anyway; I bought all the gear for the best (Key'd) set-up as in 100% 54. No bloody numbers on the indicator unit? That's me knackered! I ain't got a bloody clue? :(

I was told the same about hand brake to both back wheels! WHY?
