did me jobs today and i even replace the battery.....
so i though to ones self, the only thing you aint done yet is the coolant, so i drained and replaced and let her run till she was hot to see if the cooler fan kicked in and guess what.......it didnt....not too much a problem if your having a good run i suppose as the wind will cool the engine ( stand me corrected please before i blow the fuckin thing up.....visions of SLOB mark 2 kicking in, but i put oil in :D )......
so i am going to get another thermostat and replace that, but how will i find out if the fan is fucked without having to strip it off ( fuckin bike, i have spent more time spannering on it than i have riding it and i am still waiting for the log book as the fuckin thing is out of tax at the end of the month)

Hotwire the fan, pos to one side neg to other to test it, there will be only 2 wires, and see if it runs, I'd fit a hanldebar switch to the wires comming off of the thermo switch just to play safe, have you got a temp guage ?

What he said!! :D Temp gauge usually isn't much kop on the kwaks, so better when you're in traffic to flip your switch and you'll be OK!

okey dokey, will have a look today at that......when you say hot wire, can i just use 2 wires directly to the fan from the battery

yup!! But obviously you don't need to have the fan on all the time, so just incase the automatic thermostat switch isn't working, you have a backup. :D
Simple, even I can do it! :D
