Just lost an hour in the two links provided above, cool stuff without a doubt.

however, how much?Seems cost is the enemy here.Certain amount and you may as well get s/steel and wrap it and paint it black.Wipe over with dirty oil gives a nasty unattracive finish as well, not for pretty bikes though

Love the idea of ceramic coating and the finish looks superb.Looked at ceramacoat(sp?)but thought cost of importing it to be outragous. Was few years back now though.

When he gets it done get a price and pic and post up the finished job, yeah?

evidently stove enamelling is not what it was as they had to remove the lead content, not sure how true that is mind.

It's me who's looking into ceramic exhaust coating (cheer's fayji) :) the company Taff put a link to 'camcoat' quoted me sixty five quid which i think is an absolute bargain but since i've pissed about and uhmmed and ahhed over getting it done i'll wait 'til next winter now (their turnaround time can be up to three week's.)

cheers for letting me know.

That don't sound so bad.Could spend twenty quid twice a year cleaning it up and painting.Sounds almost cheap

Wonder what colours they can do?

Spoke to our prospect about this stuff, he builds bikes for a living, recommended this same firm as being the best and knowing what they're doing, still aint had me pipes done, gonna use them when i do me. They're black chrome right now, it's wank, harder to keep clean than bright chrome, and i've worn most of it off now, may as well have coloured 'em in with marker pen. Looked awesome straight out the box, mint for a show bike, no good for a working bike.

Well, I'm sending an old Sebring 4 into 1 system to Camcoat this week. Will post photos when it comes back.

Sure, I'll take some before pictures too :) It's already been shotblasted - not sure if that's a good or bad thing yet. Soft blast tho. Wait n see.

Got my exhaust back today. Wasnt the cheapest of dos but still cheaper than buying a new system in all. Turnaround - week and a half. :thumbsu:

Very hard to get a decent pic! Here's a couple anyway. Bearing in mind this was a used exhaust was some knocks and pitting, I think (hope) I've got a good gloss black finish that will last longer than 2 months!

Including return postage £162. Which I know isnt exactly cheap BUT - if I were to buy a new system I figured it would be a figure closer to £400 so I'm happy.

Forgot to ask if you paid a premium for the quick turnaround?

Nope - was quoted 2-3 weeks but it was actually more like just the 1 week by the time the courier had collected it from me. Highly recommended service :)
