There's a chance I'm going to need a new tyre.
I've got a 100/90 x 19 front wheel. It's a Kwak GT, but I know that other bikes have the same tyre size (I've bought a GS wheel before now to use the tyre). Budget at present only stretches to ebay.
anyone else here have the same size wheel (with what bike it's off)?

Mitch, get an 18inch Gpz wheel. It goes straight in, improves the handling a tad and gives you a wider choice of tyres to choose from.

We had a set of GPZ wheels. With good tyres. I'll give Him a nudge and see if we've still got em...... hang on.
Arse. Nope. Went in the last clear out. Typical huh. Worth a look.

Worth a try Minxy! :D
Nothing's definite yet... however it depends on whether I can get to the MoT place this weekend (which is doubtful seeing as this white stuff fell from the sky yesterday!) - If I have to, I will go down the GPz wheel route as after all, the bike is a ratfighter :D
I shall ring Bertie's in't mornin' if yer like? He's always got Gpz bits in. :)

Cheers guys!
Right-i-oh!! My plan is first, get the rest of the bike done so it's running (the snow yesterday upset my plans a bit, but seeing as the horn's working now and it turns over there's not much to do). I'll only get a new tyre or summat if the bike definitely fails, which it might not do yet (It's not like the tyre is bald or owt, just 'on' the wear limit).
The weekend just gone was quite a revelation... seeing as I've got a Metzeler on the back already, I thought I'd see how much a new one would be at a local bike shop - they wanted £60 for it.
It's quite handy that I've got one of their vouchers that I won in a local MAG raffle three or so years ago - but not used because I'd never been to the shop before (and they've agreed to honour it, as after all, it's got their name on)- so in reality it'll cost £40 :D
However, Grav knows me better than most ;) and yes, I am from Yorkshire so I'll hold off getting one as long as poss (reverting to racial stereotypes, who, me?) :) Southern breakers prices are a complete ripoff, but I do like the GPz idea, so I might go with that (for the right price of course).
Incidentally, I spoke to Dave Marsden at Z-Power t'other day about putting the clutch cover/pivot rod, etc off the GPz onto the GT. He reckons it'll work fine but he's never done it before (If you've ever had to adjust the clutch on the GT with longer cables, you'll know why I want to do this). I might stick the head and valves on as well for the hell of it...(bit of an extra boost)
No probs, there not trallies though, they got that wrong, there on road tyres but a little bit chunky. Good tyres though. I'd go for the wheel swap myself though.
