will a set of 26mm bore Carbs for a Z900 A4 run on a old z1000 lump if i re-jet them? was gona sell the thou lump but the anorack brigade really piss me off..

no idea ..chop project?? all i have is engine no. :confused: its an old one though late 70,s
If its the A1 then yes, it will run fine. Later models used 28mm carbs purely for a better fuel air flow, thus giving a better throttle response and a bit more grunt.

Seems a lot of folk ask a shyte load for stuff,what did you ask for it?
All that is bollix anyhew.
Best bet is stick 'em on then upjet.
Can't see why wouldn't work if gsxr fits on z1000.

wanted 100 quid for it which was a fair price but the anoracks just piffled about ,asked loads and never got back..anyhow gonna keep it and get some carbs ,re-jet an hopefully thatll do :confused:

I know nowt.Like I said wern't casting dispersions.
There was a gpz 1100 streetfighter that belionged to Odgie(?) that utilised suzuki carbs.Think he used P&M to sort carbs by mail order.Can't see wh7y any numberof reputable carb bods couldn't sort 'em.
