As i said i another post there seems to be a seal right at the bottom on mine gone pop.
Never having worked on these type of forks does anyone have any links or info on stripping them.
I don't know what they are off so any generic info would be fine.

the method varies. you may find you have some or all of the following to do.but here is an example.remove the dust seal followed by the retaining clip for the oil seal.. there should be a bolt (usually allen type) in the bottom of the forks. that needs to be removed, i use an air impact as often a hand tool will not prevent the insides from turning. but firstly remove the top cap and spring, spring maybe fitted over a rod with a nut on it, remove that nut. remove oil, remove the bolt in the fork bottoms, pull the stanchion out of the slider, they are only basicall normal fork legs just the other way up/

the look like either CR500 or KX500 Forks

as mentioned use a air gun with the correct sized tool to undo the bolts

there absolute cunts if you round the bolt off so make sure it's a good tight fit

before yer unwind the bolt

also to make life a little easier put the allen bolt/socket into the bolt and twatt it with a mallet it'll shock the threads and usually makes getting em out easier

lastly the whole job is a lot simplier if you can put the fork leg assembley in a vice obviously put something between the vice jaws and the leg before you clamp it in there

if one seal is gone on one leg sod's law will dictate the other one will go a bit later do em both now if yer feeling brave and anyhow it's a good idea to put fresh new fluid in both legs rather than have nice new fluid and seals in one leg only

Cheers, don't have an air gun,do have a impact screwdriver with socket fittings.
I will do both sides, might as well.
Just on the back burner now till the fuss dies down with the new grand daughter etc.
Son cannot drive so i am on taxi duty for the next few days, wearing a path between here and the hospital.
