Any idea of the rating?
Sure there are a few of us with odd coils knocking about.
Mine are ,of course kwak, thus primary 2 1/4 ish and secondary around 15,000
With a digital system check you have suppressed plug caps fitted of approx. 5000 ohms.
Wot are yours on?
cheers

just throw it in the bin!!!
wierd but the boyer systems work fine on all the ol brit iron I fitted them to, but EVERY jap bike I fitted them to, mainly big zeds etc they have been crap, wierd running problems, running on 3 but never any consistency between the pot that goes down, set it up on the bench with 4 plugs and an electric motor to run the sender unit etc, and it was madness, about 80% of the time theres was only ever a strong spark on 3 of the plugs, move coils plugs leads etc and it didnt follow any pattern
binned it, fitted a dyna 2000 system and rock and roll, bike never ran so well, pulled so hard or started so easy
got 2 ol BSA A10 lumps that will get boyer systems, but wont ever fit a boyer again to a jap lump
we tried the standard and the micro digital system, neither worked properly in my experience

Yep,I'll second what Tony said. The Brandsen kit I had on the GS ate 3 coils in one day then died in a cloud of evil smelling smoke. In all the time I had it fitted it never performed as good as a points/condenser setup.
