Just built a GT750 trike, put on a nice race can, and of course lost the mid range, spoke to dynojet to order a kit to sort the problem and they tell me they dont stock a kit for the old GT
I can order a Dynojet kit from the USA for the KZ 750, but they only cover Keihin carbs? any suggestions for replacement jets from other Kwaks?

Lou's GT has been Dynojetted... mind you that was back in the midst of time :D
Will have a look through her bike's old paperwork to see if I can find out what happened. :)

Cheers Mitch, need to get this one finished off :)
Have you changed the air filter from standard air box to K&N type filters? This too will have an impact on how it runs as it will have an absolute shed full more air getting through and the fuel jet will not cope.
A rough guide is go up 10-15% and fine tune from there. standard main is a 110 so your looking at around a 127-130.
Or you could just ask dynojet for a kit for the ZX750A1, it has the same carbs....... ;)

The reason you won't find one for the GT, is because the yanks never had one - they had the Spectre instead (KZ750N1), which is the same bike, but more custom derived.
As Grav said, the ZX750A1 is also OK, as that's the GPz750 (not the R, which is watercooled).

Cheers guys, engine is standard except for the exhaust, will go for the bigger jets and see if that cures the flat spot. :)

Up the jets as Grav said, and raise the needles by one notch. That should do the trick. Lou's bike was jetted for straight through pipes, but now has a motad on. Needs rejetting in time I think.
See if you can find a local dyno testing centre. They usually charge about £30 for an hour's Dyno time.

Hope this works...
if not, find a Dyno as I mentioned earlier, and the price includes them swapping out the jets for you. The hour is only to pay for the time which the dyno is running and not them helping out.

A mate of mine owns a dyno, www.xopowertuning.co.uk (blatant plug :) )
Will get him to check the GT over once we have changed the jets over, hoping should feel a difference when riding, bike only had 11,000 on the clock when we triked it, so nice and fit!
