The TL had a rotary damper and standard spring set up, nice idea, just not enough oil to cope with hard riding!

So....
much like the MG Midget, and indeed the MGB, then.
Not at all like the Morris 1000, which while it did have rotary dampers (or "lever arm shocks" as we used to call them) had torsion bar springs.
That's high tech that is. :D

Didn't the P6 Rover have similar ones on the front??

They were definitely weird, but I don't recall them having lever arm shocks...
I know you could use a P6 cam chain as a primary chain on a C15 though. :D
