Bolt in trike conversion

dose a bolt in axle have to have shocks or can it be rigid useing lock up struts or simaliar ?

for a bolt on jobbie, its just mot and off to dvla for inspection to add up points to see if you keep your reg number or not, not really a proper inspection just a quick looky looky. takes about 5 minutes.
