just bought another thats been standing for two years,i got it running,then it went on to one cylinder,i sorted that out,but a mechanic told me that,the xv was known to have probloms with the bottom fuel tank,cos you could not wash it out,and all the crap from years of standing would just foul up the carbs,so i got some blue prints of the net,and there are fuel fillters,one on the bottom tank,and one on each carb,so this should stop any crap getting in the carbs,think i need to change the fillters though,was he bulling me to make some dosh or was he correct

hes bulling you m8....:( 535's may have an in-line fuel filter, but to have 3 is bull****, none of my mates have em...

i am triking a 535 at the moment and have just stripped her down for powder and paint and have only got 1 filter, i think your mechanic is pulling your pisser, Fuck him off and go else where.

have you had any trouble with the fuel tank,ie crap in it,how would you clean it out,the tank at the bottom that is.

only problem is the electric switch that turns on reserve, its normaly the switch on the bars not the gubbins (electrical switch thing) on the lower tank.
no crap, sludge etc in my tank or two of my friends tanks that have owned 535's.
