Have It Right Way Round It A Robin Relant Engine The Gauge Is Robin Relant

ok... hmmm.

i assume its:-

+ volts to gauge.
gauge to sensor.

i.e the lower the resistance of the gauge, the higer the reading?

some gages have a voltage regulator to get them to 12v instead of 14.5 (charging) - but that doesnt mean that it would read full hot with a (non running i assume) battery at 12.5 or so volts...

disconnect the wire to the sensor - does it still read hot? if it does, check the wiring to make sure its not earthing out somewhere.

oh - and its reliant robin, not robin reliant.. you dont say escort ford or gsxr suzuki do you?
