:eek: can any one help I have fitted water temp gauge to my trike ,when I switch on it puts the needle to the end of the gauge do I need a voltage regalator if so what voltage do I need

u sure u havent put it on the wrong way round?
or its designed for a two pin type sender an u r using a 1 pin?

ok... hmmm.
i assume its:-
+ volts to gauge.
gauge to sensor.
i.e the lower the resistance of the gauge, the higer the reading?
some gages have a voltage regulator to get them to 12v instead of 14.5 (charging) - but that doesnt mean that it would read full hot with a (non running i assume) battery at 12.5 or so volts...
disconnect the wire to the sensor - does it still read hot? if it does, check the wiring to make sure its not earthing out somewhere.
oh - and its reliant robin, not robin reliant.. you dont say escort ford or gsxr suzuki do you? :rolleyes:
