Anyone know where I can get an 'idle sensor'* for an 'R' reg escort 1.6 zetec engine? Buggered if I'm paying £150 for one... its for the stepdaughter.

Dont say Ernie, I said 'idle sensor' not idle git.

Well looking for someone who can get some discount is a start.

20-30% on engine parts used to be fairly normal in my day.

That the price from Ford? Can you get pattern ones?

Look under Motor Factors in the Yellow Pages, try ringing a few.
