anyone here got access to a manual for the kwak zzr600, preferably the earlier 90-92 model

mine runs sweet as a nut, pulls like a train to 7krpm and then just goes a bit fluffy and is generally unhappy, plugs leads coils etc etc are all good, carbs are stripped cleaned and rebuilt

revs clean off load, but underload its just not right

main jets are huge in my opinion, so trying to find out what should be in there, motad nexxus pipe, but road legal one, never found that I needed to rejet for one of them

its a belgium import, so was they restriscted?, if so surely it would be bhp restricted, and not behave this way

7krpm is only half way up the revs and hence a bit of a pain, goes like stink up to 7k, in all gears, but would like to use the remaining 7k rpms as well :)

currently the mains are 144, thats huge for a 600 isnt it??

and I think Im right in guessing that at about 7k the mains are just coming into play to reckon it has to be them.

oh well thats typical, seems to have fixed itself??

just went out for lunch on it and revs right round, goes fine??

that was a cheap one :)

Must have been a bit of crap restricting the fuel flow, Tony and it seems to have dislodged now.

lol spoke too soon,

riding home and got to the open road, and was still holding back at 7k rpm in all gears, particularly worse in higher gears, ie 60-70mph roll on etc

sure its fuel starvation, so got to try and find out the spec and then check the float heights

tried bring the choke on a bit but does nothing, so going to check floats, and possibly remove the inline fuel filter once I got some large bore fuel pipe to replace the length from tank to carbs

all vacuum pipes are new and sealed, going to try leaving the hose long with fuel filter on show and see if it empties out and cant keep up

Kinked fuel line? air filter clogged? choke coming on/ staying on?

yesh been through all them,

changed the plugs, coils, leads

deffo fuel though, just feels like its running out of fuel, that BBWWWAAAAARRRRRRRPPPPPPPPPPPPP noise LOL

fuel lines are all straight, the prime facility is push button on the tap, so need to try this option as well, going to cabletie it on prime to see if maybe its a vacuum issue, perhaps the tap is playing up??

bike rides like a dream below 7k, pulls hard and sounds sweet, if I can sort this out then will deffo keep this one, and then rip all the plastics off, renthals twin spots and matt black aerosol :)
