my gsxr ws model (95) has always run too rich, stupidly rich. so i sent her in for an overhaul and now we have a new problem. petrol pisses out the back of number 3 carb. take the tank off and disconnect the vacuum pipe and run petrol in via a funnel and she runs just fine. put tank back on and attach vacuum pipe and the fuel pisses out vacuum hose is attached to number 3 carb.needle valves and floats are all clean. jimmymoonlight remembers someone in here havin a similar problem, anyone remeber who and how they resolved it?

Take a real close look at the O-rings on the float assembly and replace them if they look at all knackered.and wipe a wee bit of grease round them before you push the float assembly back in to the carb body

Float height is correct on that carb?
If it over flows with the tank it could be that having a greater volume in the tank rather then a funnel will give you a greater pressure, due to the head of fuel.
This could mean the carb willl leak under those condation, the vacuum pipe could be nothing to do with it.
