Just some information for you all. A company called Velo Sport now make speedo cable extensions (reference number CAB021) which attach to the speedo end of the cable and give an extended length of 10" (and we can all use an extra 10"?!) They are designed to fit any standard cable (I have just fitted one to a Honda cable that was 6" too short for my trike).

Cheers mate, the events listings take some updating though
the Green is Kawasaki Candy Apple Green, and the camera makes me look years younger and a different sex

The VW trike is Triker_Gal's (registered here) and as far as i know, the wheel is off a superdream and she aint had any probs with it.(yet)
