I am new (ish)... so here goes

I have always have projects on the go, usualy 4 wheeled as I have been into the racing scene for over 25 years (first drag racing, then saloons, now single seat GT cars)

A late starter to two wheels I have been riding since 1998, though always interested in bikes. My current scoot is a Buell X1 lightning that I have had since 2001. No plans to change just yet but I have been recently seduced into trying a Rocket 3 so who knows.

My passion is riding in the US. I have done over 10,000 miles over there on a bike including 2 trips to Sturgis and a coast to coast ride from LA to Miami. I am going to do it again as soon as funds allow.

I do want to do more events in the UK and Europe now the kids are finally off my hands so I will be looking for recommendations.

Now then, 4_stroke, there's plenty of good events up and down the land you can try and everyone has their own personal favourites. Mine are the NABD Rally and the Simmer Dim Rally on Shetland. Well worth the trip that one. :cool:

Simmer Dim is, as Grav says, a great rally and a proper experience too - takes a week (just about) and is a real laugh.

NABD ones are good (National in May, Scottish in July and Autumn NABDness in September), Bum in the Mud in April, Dragon in Feb if you're 'ard enough, Millennium BC's in July too.

There are loads of good 'uns out there! :)
