HERCULES CHARITY RUN 2004 :
UPDATE:
Confirmed date of October 3rd..
Preliminary route -Preesall ( Nr. Knott End on Sea), Caton , Devils Bridge , Sedburgh , Appleby heading for Holker Hall. Run fee will include entry into Holker Hall. The estate includes stately home , huge gardens , wildlife and the Lakeland Motor Musuem.
Afternoon judging for Trophies : Best of Show, Best Brit , Japper , Custom , Small bike , Paintwork , etc...etc..
Tony Heywood Memorial Trophy for Best Custom
Joanna's Memorial Trophy for Best overall British.
Raffle for Carbon Can Co slip on can.
This year's Charity , is the new Joanna's Wish Charity. Mark and Joanna are long time friends and Brit bike nuts. Over a long period of time Joanna has been misdiagnosed by local doctors for various "ailments". Turns out she has hereditary ovarian cancer and it is now too late to treat. Apparently even if she had been diagnosed , there is not enough funding for that kind of general screening - A worrying thought don't you think?
" Joanna's Wish" is to be able to raise funds in order to educate the public and medical profession and eventually create funding for ovarian screening.
Joanna will no longer be with us at the time of this run.
I hope you will show your support and help us raise as much funding as possible , whilst enjoying a great ride / day out.
As usual , the run is supported by : Whitbread Brewary , Aerolux Ltd , Stac Racing , Raceways Motorcycles and Carbon Can Co.
