View Full Version : Wired For Sound
Okay not exactly sound but Light and wired for light didn't sound like a good thread header
i just bought some spot for my trike (off ebay)
and have been busy fitting them so here is a pic
and it was only after i fitted them that i noticed that they obscoured my indicators so i had to buy some new indicators, and whilst in the shop i saw some really beautifull shiny mini halogen spots....so i had to buy them as well
(just got a bit of wiring left...waiting on a bar switch to arrive tommorrow)

oooooooooooooooooooo
very pretty
our luggage rack hid our indicators and number plate, which is always fun,
could be summat to do with the kitchen sink we had packed too
:D
(being able to edit is a nice change, specially when my typing is so cr@p)

you switch that lot on you are going to need a new alternator just to keep up on the battery drain. or is it that you just like to glow in the dark ? :cool:
the spots have very little affect on the power drain (as it is still slightly less than what a reliant car would run) when i turn the small spots on the drain is more, but not to significantly, as the alternater is not a reliant one, i cant remember exactly but it may be sierra or some other ford

Just to be awkward and pick faults, wouldnt it have been cheaper to have put the spots on upside down, so they didnt obscure the indicators?? :confused:

Don't be disgusting!! :D
Bloody hurt on a long journey but would be a great aid in the middle of the night when you can't find the loo at a rally.

<picky mode>
isnt the plate that holds the smaller lights / indicators a bit - well - gurlie? look like it will wobble....
</pm>
could the (new) indicators be fitted into the end of the light bar using a bar end weight type holding system?

there is surprisingly not much wobble, it is quite rigid steel
(i aint no fabricator, and i just cut and bent them, they are a stop gap untill i can find someone to cheaply make me something better)
not a bad idea about the bar end, i will have to look into it, as it certainly would tidy it up
thanks for the ideas mate
