Not doing r&b or bulldog anymore (done both for last 10 yrs) cos it costs toooooo much. Would rather save the dosh and go on smaller rallies - lots more fun :D

Nope not for us,too many cars.We do bike rallys,R&B more like a rock concert,we can do 3 bike rallys for the cost of R&B,so not intrested in it.

Doro
12-07-2004, 07:47 AM
yeah that's why I like it, cos it's so big and unlike a bike rally

we've done 7 rallies so far and the celtic warriors was the largest, then NABD, then 3Bs summer breezer....rest all had less than 500 peeps there

so we normally only do small rallies too

the thing about RBCS is that you pay less than £30 and get to see 5 or more great bands

where else could you do that so cheap? And have camping for 3 nights and loadsa excellent food vans, plenty of loos, water tankers, shops, fun for kids, bikes?

and no trouble on site despite huge number of peeps there

tis the only big one we do and we love it.

WOT A LOAD OF BOLLOX......Over priced food vans, overpriced beer and
may be one good band in the three days yer there..£30 well spent my arse...

Doro

food is no more expensive than other rallies we go to and at least you have a choice of somethingother than burgers and chips

last year they had

soar patrol
thin lizzy
the stranglers
molly hatchet
budgie
stiff little fingers

and at least 3 out of that list would cost you over £20 to see...

and you can't say my opinion is b0llox you know, you can say you disagree but YOU CAN'T slate it

so there

each to their own, I'm not telling people they talk b0llox and I'd appreciate it if you showed me the same respect

thank-you

I go for the music - last year main stage was crap apart from Molley Hatchet.
The Zydaco Brothers Cajun Dance jobby , in the beer tent , was bloody fab though!

Year before was outstanding , what with the weather and the headliners.
If you don't like what's going on in one place , then there's always something else to wander off and do - that's the appeal of it to me ( along with the fact it's a superb site)

If you like the music , then it's good value for money. It's worth paying extra for food , if you have the choice of more than burgers and pig roast.

Plus it's got enough going on that'll keep my missus entertained for the weekend - she'll only do bigger events.

After all the hard work that goes into organising it and the fact that people have supported it for 21 years - how the hell can you sit there and "pooh , pooh " it and people who attend it?

Now remove foot from mouth and head from up your arse -
Everyone to their own eh?

Novel to watch first time around , by the fourth time around , it's all too much for me.
That Cajun Band where the "headliners" for me last year. Danced non stop all night to that!
Rocking!
This year will be buzzing , what with Noddy Holder and Dee Dee Snider!
Saying that , Mr.Dan's going purely to see Magnum.
Like I say...all to their own and there's plenty to cater for all tastes.

Have a few going on Thursday , but they may be marshalling and some will be camped in the car park , as some of the lads are disabled. Me and Danny , wycliff , mrs.C , Carol and maybe some others... will be there Friday morn - so are gonna be stretched out all over the place. Will look out for your flag , but I like to camp right over to the left , on my "Blueberry Hill" ( it's where I get my thrill - long story , don't ask!)

Private message me a text number before you go and we'll see about having a beer. Don't want to arrange a time , as may not be able to stick to it.

If everyone could form an orderly line by the bottom of the left hand side of the hill around mid morning, they could help Danny pushing his bike up , just so he doesn't fall off again! Fnarr, fnarr! He's the only man I know who rides an XTZ Tenere' up a muddy hill and falls off it , as I sail past spraying everyone :D on my little old Bandit! Bloody orrrf road bikes eh?

doro here.....again

(too lazy to change name on home PC)

we prefer smaller ones too (rallies that is hurr hurr) but as I was saying, rock n blues is the only biggun we do

prolly my fault cos I hate big crowds, and since rock n blues is outside you can still have fun and see bands wifout being crowded in

is what I didn't like about the celtics cos it was in a barn like

:D

Long queues for toilets (take your own paper, they kept running out), cars driving round the site(not just traders/organisers either), beer a bit pricey and they ran out (so went to a supermarket and stocked up on cans, huge variety and a lot cheaper than down here in Kent), couldn't get a badge 'cos they'd run out, bike show tent was too dark, saw Hawkwind with Arthur Brown (best band I thought, I must be getting old...), food good and wide choice but again a bit pricey, loads of stalls.
But, still had a good time so will go again if I don't have to work - 40 quid otg this year .
