Fj 11/fj12 ?

Right then gentlepeeps , I know now what my next 'project' will be.
However what differences are there between the 1100 and 1200 FJ's ? (apart from a few cc's )
Are there any major frame or engine differances ?
Problems ?
Any info would be grand , Ta in advance :D

Gearbox on 1100 is not as good as 1200 - 2nd gear can complain

Cheers mate, I had heard this, and asumed that it was the old XS symdrome,but maybe I'm wrong ?

The 1000 exup suffers the same, weak 2nd gear and fragile clutch basket. They revamped the box on the 1000 after 92, so maybe the later fj's got fixed too.
If its any consolation you can use the later parts in a earlier motor.

Thanks Mr.Fluffy , aparently there is a Yamaha 'fix' for this problem !!
If they knew about ,and can remedy the problem, why is it there in the first place ???? :confused:
